‘Homam’ and ‘Abhishekam’ will be performed to mark the first anniversary of “Sridevi Bhudevi Sahitha Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara Swamy & Shiva Panchayatana Uma Skanda Swamy Temple” in the premises of ‘Vijaya Homes for Elders’ which also coincides with the auspicious occasion of Vasanta Panchami on February 4th 2014. There are many unique features which have been incorporated into this temple

 

The main deities in the Lord Venkateshwara temple are in sitting posture, modeled after Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara Swamy Temple in Thondamanadu, near Sri Kalahasti. This is the only temple where Lord Venkateshwara Swamy is in sitting posture along with his consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi.

 

The Shiva temple has been built in Panchayatana Style prescribed by Adi Sankaracharya with Narmada Bana Lingam in the middle. Another unique feature that you find is a Panchaloha Murthis of Shiva, Uma and Kumaraswamy in the form of Somaskanda Murthi. This Murthis face the deities of Sri Valli Devasena Sametha Sri Subramanya Swamy
